Epigenetics Research from Single Cells to Human Health

We wish to understand cellular identity and heterogeneity within cell populations, during differentiation, organogenesis and in whole organisms. In order achieve this, we aim to decipher the epigenetic mechanisms underlying cell identity, and heterogeneity, which enable changes in cell fate in normal development and to investigate how this is altered in disease. We will use cutting edge techniques to profile epigenomic, transcriptomic and 3D chromatin folding information in different model organisms, including yeast, Drosophila, C. elegans, zebrafish, and mammals in cell populations and single cells.
