Implementing Biomedical Artificial Intelligence
Modern epigenetics depends on interpretable models, leveraging highly complex data to identify mechanisms and consequently possible interventions. This requires the training of a new generation of scientists operating at the intersection of computer science and biomedicine, who can develop new effective machine learning and AI approaches to process and integrate complex molecular „omics“ and clinical data, elucidate statistical predictive patterns and discover novel interactions. Through these approaches we will contribute to the development and deployment of AI techniques in the biomedical sector, offer risk-averse and informed decision-making based on complex data and train the future leaders in the interdisciplinary topic of biomedical AI.
