„Stem Cells, the Genies of the Body” – New Exhibition at the Deutsches Museum

Do you know how powerful your body is? Dive into this question and more at “Stem Cells, the Genies of the Body,” an interactive exhibition opening at the Deutsches Museum’s Science Communication Lab. Created by scientists from the Helmholtz Munich Institutes of Epigenetics and Stem Cells and Functional Epigenetics, in partnership with the Helmholtz-Edinburgh Research School EpiCrossBorders, the new exhibition reveals the remarkable role of stem cells in health, healing, and the future of medicine.

Stem cells are unique, plastic cells with the unique ability to develop into a wide variety of cell types within the body. Acting as an internal renewal and repair system, they regenerate and heal tissues, also offering potential for innovative therapies. This exhibition sheds light on the latest scientific advancements in stem cell research, exploring how these “genies of the body” could transform healthcare.

Firsthand Insights from Researchers

Visitors will learn about the latest advancements in stem cell technology and therapeutic innovation. Throughout the exhibition, they will have the unique chance to engage with the researchers themselves, who will be available to answer questions, guide guests through interactive displays, and explain the ongoing research.
