Paternal programming of offspring immune development

I completed my Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology at B.M.S. College of engineering, Bangalore, India (2019). To pursue my interest in life science research, I further completed M.Tech in Medical Biotechnology from Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad (IITH), India (2021), where I got fascinated with Epigenetics while working on DNA methylations and DNA repair with Dr. Anindya Roy.To dive deeper into the realm of Epigenetics, I have joined Dr. Raffaele Teperino's group at the Institute of Experimental Genetics (IEG), Helmholtz Munich in 2022 for my doctoral studies in Environmental Epigenetics with mouse models. My project is focussed on understanding paternal programming of development, under the influence of environmental factors, with focus on development of immune system in collaboration with Dr. Rebecca Gentek at the University of Edinburgh. With this collaborative project, I am looking into the role of glucocorticoid signalling at conception and studying the effects of its disruption using fate mapping and genomic/epigenomic analysis.
